Just some snake stuff that I’ve collected recently. Expect these updates with alarming frequency in the coming months.
1. Stacey O’Brien, author of the owl-themed memoir, Wesley the Owl, had this tidbit on her blog last month.
My Dad was bitten by a rattlesnake when he was about 16, but he had smuggled it into his room and was keeping it as a pet, unbeknownst to his parents! He had tamed it pretty well and, as 16 year old kids will do, he got a little careless and it bit him.
I thought Mamba Point was a tall tale, but tales are often no taller than reality. Or maybe it’s just percentages, you know. You take all the kids there ever was and all the deadly snakes….
2. This simple and addictive game requires you to eat rats without doubling back on yourself. The more rats you eat, the longer you get. Did I mention that you’re a snake. Well, you’re a snake.
3. I hear there’s a Black Mamba terrorizing Orlando, but I don’t know much about it. I hope it doesn’t eat Micky Mouse.
