Thanks to the miscellany of friends, colleagues, old classmates and strangers who commented on the giveaway post and are now eligible to win three odds and two ends. The post is now closed, and the cats are excited to pick a winner (first we have to draw to see which cat does the picking!) The results will be posted this evening or perhaps tomorrow.
Two other 2009 debut authors poked their heads in that thread, and I thought I’d give their books a plug here since they’re good people and deserve a little lip-service. 🙂
Saundra’s Mitchell’s Shadowed Summer is a ghost story set in swampy southern Louisiana, a region I know a little since I have family down that way and have eaten plenty of catfish and been served plenty of okra which I stuffed in my pockets and later deposited in a cane field out back. Saundra is a fellow frosh at Random House, with Delacorte. Her book comes out on February 10.
I have a lot of books to read this year, but these are at the top of the list!
